Little Plum Pottery

Art Gannett & Barbara Andersen

Little Plum Pottery has been operating since 1980 out of Little Plum Valley near Pepin, Wisconsin, and combines the talents of husband/wife team Art Gannett and Barbara Andersen.

Art started on the potter’s wheel in 1971 and has worked as a professional potter since 1974.  He is responsible for all the wheel work at Little Plum, in addition to his employment as Senior Thrower at Red Wing Stoneware in Red Wing, Minnesota, plus teaching classes at Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis.

Barbara, a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, does the glazing on all Art's stoneware and porcelain, as well as working on her own more whimsical creations in the broader color palette of lower temperature glazes.
